Missionary immersion in Senegal

The Board for World Missions has approved a plan to send two missionaries to Senegal. Part of this process includes an immersion opportunity to live with a Muslim Wolof family. This opportunity will allow the missionaries to settle into the culture and community, learn the language, meet the people, and seek opportunities to share the gospel. $5,000 will help support this immersion opportunity for a new missionary. Costs include:
- Homestay with a Wolof family (including food): $545 per person, per month
- Wolof language training: $23 per hour
- Daily transportation between homestay and cultural center: $15 per day
Gifts given above and beyond $5,000 towards this project will support other costs associated with placing new missionaries in Senegal.
