Taste of Missions

At Taste of Missions, held on June 13, 2026, eleven new missionaries were commissioned to share Jesus in communities across the U.S. and around the world:

• Rev. Dr. Francisco Cossio La Rosa – Missionary, One Latin America Team
• Rev. Alex Dimke – Redeemer, Edna, Texas
• Ms. Louisa Felgenhauer – Peridot-Our Savior’s Lutheran School, San Carlos Apache Reservation, Ariz.
• Rev. Stephen Gerling – Missionary, Senegal
• Rev. Dan Kroll – Missionary, Senegal
• Ms. Cindy Lendt – Women’s ministry coordinator, Asia-Oceania Team
• Rev. Micah Neumann – New mission start, Cedar Lake, Ind.
• Rev. Ronny Nguyen – Mount Olive, St. Paul, Minn.
• Dr. Chris Pluger – Missionary, One Africa Team
• Rev. Nathan Strutz – Home mission counselor

As a synod, we stand behind them. We pray for them. We support them. In a very real way, we send them.

Eternal God, Lord of heaven and earth, we thank you for the privilege of proclaiming the gospel around the world and the opportunities to share the gospel with others. On June 13, our Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod had the joy of commissioning 11 of our brothers and sisters to join in our mission efforts, to serve in your name on our behalf. Pour out your Holy Spirit on them and equip them with the gifts they need to carry out their work in towns and cities in North America and countries around the world. Provide compassion, discernment, and courage to love deeply, speak wisely, and witness boldly wherever they encounter souls in darkness. Keep in your care their spouses and families as they accompany them to this calling. Give comfort in times of loneliness, patience when success seems slow, and lasting love for new friends and neighbors. According to your will, enable all your servants to experience the joy that comes with one sinner who repents and believes the gospel; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
